What NotaFlow is, and what it is not

NotaFlow is a private note-taking tool for readers: it turns voice notes, page photos, typed notes and Kindle highlights into structured, searchable reading notes. The product is in early access. Features may change, improve or occasionally break while we polish it.

NotaFlow is not a book service. We do not provide, sell, publish or distribute books or their contents, we keep no catalog of book text, and we claim no rights over the books you read. Book titles and covers appear only to identify which book a note belongs to. Any book text in your account is there because you put it there, from a book you have access to, for your own notes.

Your account

You need an account to use NotaFlow. Keep your credentials safe and give us a working email address; that is how we reach you about your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the service. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

Your content

Four kinds of things live in your account, and the rules are simple. What you write (notes, thoughts, comments, reasons) is yours. Source material you provide for your own note-taking (page photos, Kindle highlights) stays private to your account: we never publish it, never show it to other users, and never sell or license it. What the AI extracts or composes from your material is part of your note and belongs with it. And what you deliberately share (notes in a circle, a recommendation, a share card) is visible to the people you shared it with.

You give us only the license we need to run the service: to host, store, process and back up your content, to run it through the processing described in the privacy policy, and to show it to you and to the people you explicitly share it with. That license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies you yourself sent out into the world and short-lived encrypted backups. We do not use your content to train AI models.

Books and copyright

NotaFlow is built for personal note-taking: capturing short passages that matter to you, with your own thinking attached. You are responsible for having lawful access to the books you photograph or import and for staying within your local copyright rules, and you agree not to use NotaFlow to reproduce, assemble or distribute substantial portions of any work. The sharing features are deliberately built for short quotations with attribution, and they never expose your photographs of pages.

If you believe content in NotaFlow infringes your rights, write to hello@notaflow.ai with enough detail to find it. We review notices, remove infringing content, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly infringe.

Sharing, circles and friends

You choose what crosses to other people, and the defaults keep everything private. Whatever you share must respect the people on the other side: no unlawful content, no harassment, no using circles or recommendations to spam. We may remove content and suspend accounts that cross those lines.

Plans, billing and referrals

• The free plan is genuinely free: capped monthly AI captures, unlimited typed notes, keyword search, and full export.
• Plus is a monthly subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play. Billing, renewal and refunds follow the store’s rules; you can cancel anytime from your store account.
• If you cancel, nothing is deleted. You return to the free plan’s limits and keep every note.
• Referral rewards (a discount for readers who join through your invite, and one for you when enough of them sign up) apply once paid subscriptions launch, do not stack, have no cash value, and the program may change or end. Founder pricing is honored for active subscribers and may change for new ones.

Acceptable use

Don’t use NotaFlow to store or distribute unlawful content, to abuse other users (for example inside reading circles), or to probe, overload or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

Ending things

You can stop using NotaFlow whenever you like, export your data, and delete your account in Settings; deletion removes your content and files from our systems. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, and where reasonable we will let you export first.

No warranties, limited liability

NotaFlow is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Export regularly. It’s your memory, keep a copy.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use NotaFlow after that means you accept the updated terms.
